Written by Katie

This article is about the experiment that we did with celery. The class rated the celery on a scale from 1 to 5, 1 being the best freshness and 5 being the worst. Below is our information in a table.

 #

 control blue red
 1 4.5 22.7 9.1
 2 40.9 9.1 9.1
 3 18.2 22.7 18.2
 4 18.2 18.2 36.4
 5 18.2 27.3 27.3

#= freshness scale.

Numbers are the percent of students who voted for that freshness. For example, 4.5% of the students thought their control celery should be rated a freshness of 1, while 22.7% thought the blue celery rated a 1, and 9.1% thought the red celery rated a 1.

Below is the same information in a triple bar graph.

EDITOR NOTE: This report refers to the experiment "Does cooled microwaved water affect algae growth?"

Most of the plants had algae growing on them. The students in our class had to use the same plant clippings in their cups, so that there would be one less variable. Some of the cups had sunlight through reflective film and some had sunlight through a screen, so that was another variable

Results of experiment:
Which cup had the most algae?

A
