Experiment completed:
Does cooled microwaved water harm aquatic life?

Cartoon fish. After completing the ten day experiment "Does cooled microwaved water kill plants?" summer arrived along with many web visitors who were interested in the results. Although the experiment indicated that watering plants with cooled microwaved water does not kill plants in ten days, some might wonder if long term exposure to microwaved water would affect plant growth. Not wanting to repeat the same experiment, I decided to design a long term experiment which would provide maximum contact with the microwaved water, as well as offer many opportunities for my students to learn and apply science. Observing aquatic life in an aquarium seemed a good solution. Here is a record of our experimental odyssey.
