Video captures frog swimming
19 April 2007 Some people are curious about our African dwarf frogs. At first, the frogs were very shy, and it was difficult to get a photograph of them. Now they are more active, often swimming out in the open. Below is a video of the frog that lives in tank B. African dwarf frogs can be kept with non-aggressive fish that are bigger than their mouths. We feed ours freeze-dried blood worms (mosquito larvae). These frogs are purely aquatic, and do not need any special equipment or setup such as floating refuges or gravel that is not covered with water. You can occasionally watch them swim up to gulp some air, then return to the bottom of the tank. Click on photographs to start video in new window.
